Marilyn Jane Jebydah was born in Ceduna in 1963. Currently she lives and works in Koonibba, about 45 km West from Ceduna, the Far West Coast area of South Australia. Her Pitjantjara background is a rich source for her stories and culture which she expresses in often unique colour combination using acrylic paints on canvas. She uses free hand brush strokes and dot painting to express her stories in her paintings. She sources inspiration from her environment, and her brother, who is a landscape artist, and peer artist Sherrie Jones who also lives in Koonibba, contributed to shaping her style and storytelling about culture. Marilyn paints what she has experienced, being on Country and she enjoys sharing her culture and stories visually.
