Glenda Ken

Glenda Ken was born in 1975 in the Northern Territory, Alice Springs. She currently lives and works in Yalata, South Australia where she works at the Anangu school. She is affiliated with the Yalata Women’s Centre where she meets other artists to create works of arts, mostly paintings. Glenda is most familiar with using acrylic paints on canvas. Her brush strokes are significant, and she varies them with dotting techniques by using skewers and other objects. She learnt how to paint from her mother and her aunty who were her mentors, next to other artists from Kaltjiti Arts in Fregon Anangu.  Glenda paints landscapes, country and stories about family and her people. She is excited to be participating in the Our Mob exhibitions but has previously also participated in the Maralinga exhibition that was hosted at Tandanya in Adelaide as well as Sydney in 2018.
